T is for......

Tiger Woods

Tiger recently got Lasek surgery and my mom has the poster to prove it!! So thinking about my birthday coming up and the fact that my eyes are horrible, my parents decided that for my birthday I can go and Lasek!!!! I'm really excited and a little scared!

We are going to the same surgeon that did my sister's surgery so hopefully it won't be too scary since hers resulted excellently! I will be traveling to OKC on 10/13 for doctors appointments and then the surgery will be the next day on 10/14 and then another appointment on 10/15. We planned it around my Fall Break so I won't have to miss too much class!

This semester I decided to cut back on the hours because I honestly change my mind about majors every other week so I am going to complete my Associate's degree this semester and probably take some time off from school before I return to finish the degree. Don't worry I have full intention of returning one day!!

Well, I have also been doing a lot of studying in the doctrine of the Bible. I have made lots of discoveries about different parts of the Bible that I didn't realize before. So it has been really good!! Dustin and I are studying together so we can learn and grow in Christ together! I love it! I always wanted to find a Christian guy that wanted to study the Bible with me and worship God with me! It's a little difficult since he is 2 hours away but our communication skills over the phone have definitely improved!

I am also working almost full time at my dad's office now. I love it! I have moved up to the front of the office so I am getting alot more experience in State Farm and really getting to help clients!!

Just wanted to touch base with everyone...I know I always apologize for not posting as often and make promises that I don't keep about posting more often so I'm not going to do that anymore....I will update when I get time...Living alone and working almost full time really takes alot of my time!!

Hope everyone has a splendid day!! Here's my thought for the day!

Fighting....

I don't like it...It always happens when i don't want it to!

For any of you who are reading this, I have some questions about Faith....I really don't know who to ask because of recent events.

First, I want to know where in the bible it tells us that you receive God's grace through baptism?? I want chapter and verse.  I just can not find it.

Second thing I want to know.  In the bible when it refers to who the bible is talking to and the bible is talking specifically to the Jews are we (as Gentiles) supposed to follow the same teaching??

Third thing I want to know.  This is not a faith concern but I want to know how to have different beliefs than someone in your life that is very important and yet still learn how to accept the differences without disregarding your entire relationship with that person?

If I could just get your opinions on the third one.  It has been a problem for quite some time....And I don't know how to fix it.  I don't want to wait until it is too late to fix.

S is for....

Sorry!!!

I know it has been like 4 months since I have updated my blog! I'm sorry!! I am going to try and keep it updated more often these days! I have been super busy! I'm working for my dad now almost full time (about 30 hours a week). I got licensed in Property and Casualty over my Spring Break and in August I will get licensed over Life and Health so that I will be licensed in all basic lines of insurance! That is pretty much all I need to move higher in the Insurance world except for a 4 year degree and I'm working on that too!!

This summer I have been taking Calculus III at Wichita State and working alot. Once school starts in the Fall I will not be working as much since I am going to be taking 3 math classes and a literature. And those of you who know me, I am horrible at literature! So it is going to be a difficult semester!

I also moved into my own apartment this summer....I decided it was time to do that! So hopefully I will be able to afford it when school starts. I might have to get a second job since I won't be able to work as many hours during the week. But I have to find the right one, because I would just want to work like 3 nights during the week. It will have to be the right job.

Also, I started dating a really nice Christian boy! He is a great guy and a good Christian influence as well. Just what I need! I'm pretty excited about it! We have been dating for about 4 1/2 months!

My sister is also expecting another baby! I'm so excited for her!! She is due in December!! Merry Christmas!! lol! Here is a couple of pictures for you all to enjoy!

Q is for...

Quiet...

Yep thats pretty much the first Q word that popped into my mind!!
3 months...that's how long it has been since I have posted last..Here's what has happened, I'll give you the short version complete with pictures...

So Thanksgiving was fun...Went to Minnesota, had some quality time with the family! Enjoyed and participated in a completely amazing talent show...This is a picture of Melody, Katie, My mom, and I in our poodle skirts! The theme was 50's! All of the poodle skirts were made by my mom!! Including the little babies' ones!
This next one is a picture of my whole family that was there...It's only my mom's side!!
And this picture is Briawna and I...we dressed up on Halloween in the 50's and went to 2 Halloween parties and visited her mom's house as well!! It was great!!

These are my two little nieces...Macy (in light pink) and Jaylen (in hot pink)!!
Also, while we were in Minnesota, the lake was frozen over!! Almost all the way...but just enough so we could take a family picture on it!! Here we all are!!
Lets see...in December...you know we had Christmas!! Here's a few pictures from it...

This first one is the Young Professionals groups at Northside and Eastpoint!! We all went and played Paintball together...Organized by yours truly!! Sometime since I have forgotten to post I got nominated to organize the 'social events' of our group at church...so for my first action..we went and played Paintball!!
This next picture is from my family christmas with my dads side...its not too good but it was the best one I had with the most people in it! We also had our own family christmas with just my brothers and sisters and parents but I honestly didn't have any good pictures of it...
Also since I have been the 'social coordinator' for the young professionals, I have gotten together with two people from two different churchs and we are alternating months to have an Area-wide Devo with all our Young Professionals group...So since I had already planned the Paintball thing...We went to West Douglas church for New Years!! Here's the group picture of it!! We actually have a big group of people!! This is 3 different church groups...And the second little picture is us having one HUGE game of NERTZ!!! It's awesome..we play with partners so we can have more people play!! It's so much fun!!
The next few pictures are from 'Game Night'...I hosted an area wide event at my house...we played the Wii(btw..I got that for christmas) and Scattegories and Nertz!!! The Young Professionals at Eastpoint are obsessed with the game!! We play it everywhere if you can't tell!!
Our Nertz table...
About the end of January, I went on a ski trip to Crested Butte with the Young Professionals at church!! It was so much fun except for the fact that my foot really hurt skiing so I might not be able to ever ski again...but I'm going to try snowboarding since the boots fit differently so maybe I don't have to give up the WHOLE mountain just the skiing part...Here's a picture of the whole group that went with us..
Ok...the last pictures of the night...this was our next Area-wide activity that happened about 2 weeks ago...It was at Northside Church and we started out the night with some food and a very nice devo! Then afterwards we had 'Northside Olympics' so we were randomly put into teams and had to pick a name...so this is at the end of the night and here's the teams...

First team.....When we were counting off, everyone kept counting to 5 instead of 4 so the 1's got together and there team name was 'Shoulda Been 5's'
Next, this team is pretty self-explanatory...a bunch a engineer guys who say one thing but secretly love women...their team name was......'He-Man Women Haters'
This one...I'm really not sure how they came up with the name, but we love them for their non-originality :)...but their team name was....'Photosynthesis'
And finally, my team...there is definitely a story behind our picture...The guy on the far left in the gray sweater is named Alex Flood...so since he was kind of our group leader we named our group the 'Floodians'...but half way through the night he had to help out with leading the last even and unfortunately did not use it to his team's advantage so we decided that he should shunned and de-throned...so we changed our name to the 'Prattians' since that is Stephanie's last name...So the picture is of us raising up Stephanie and shunning Alex!! Well I hope you all enjoyed this post...I won't be updating for another week...I have lots to do..I'm going to be getting licensed for Property and Casualty Insurance...taking a trip to Branson, MO...Celebrating Macy's first birthday...and much, much more...so i'll update hopefully when I get back from all of those!!
